Laithwaites hires Nexus in £200,000 brief

Online wine seller Laithwaites has appointed Nexus to promote the brand to younger consumers.

The agency won the £200,000 account after a three-way pitch. The account will be led by Nexus director Jane Baerselman.

Previously known as Bordeaux Direct, Laithwaites sells wine from all over the world over the internet and at ten stores around the country.

Baerselman said that the agency would be working to promote Laithwaites to younger groups such as couples in their mid-twenties, and particularly young women.

Laithwaites head of events John Kemp said: 'Women, in particular, are happy to shop online and wine should be just a natural extension to the weekly shop.'

Laithwaites has not used a PR agency before.
