The latest model will be unveiled at the Journalists' Charity's fundraising event on 15 October. The 450 journalist and PRO attendees will be able to bid for the car.
The car is being launched internationally at the Paris Motor Show on 2 October. It will only go on sale in the UK during the early part of 2009.
Daily Mail transport editor and charity trustee Ray Massey managed to secure the car after approaching the UK arm of Volkswagen.
Volkswagen UK head of press and PR Paul Buckett said: 'The English-speaking media is probably the most influential in the world. It's great to gain awareness of a product in this way.'
The charity is planning to substantially raise its profile in the coming months, particularly among a younger generation of journalists.
