Ransley started his Analyst career with Charterhouse Tilney before joining Dresdner Kleinwort in 1996 where he became director of Retail Research for the UK and Europe.
In the role he covered stocks including Kingfisher, Marks & Spencer, DSG International, Alliance Boots, HMV, WH Smith and Signet.
In 2006 he was the top general retail analyst in the Extel rankings.
