There is definitely a move by larger consultancies to shore up talent through investment in formal graduate schemes. This long-term approach must be continued to ensure there are experienced account managers and directors when the economy revives. It is not just larger consultancies that should consider graduate appointments. Graduates' enthusiasm, transferable skills and fresh approach are valuable in any workplace.
