Dutch giant hires Aspect

AkzoNobel, the world's largest paints firm, which earlier this year bought ICI, has brought in Aspect for a corporate brief.

The Dutch company, which now owns household brands Dulux and Cuprinol, wants to increase its UK presence after its £8bn acquisition of ICI.

The Fortune Global 500 firm gave Aspect the brief, believed to be worth £250,000, after a three-way pitch. It is believed that Edelman and Trimedia also pitched for the business.

AkzoNobel previously used Smithfield, and retains the agency for an investor relations brief.

A team of four consultants based in London will work on the AkzoNobel UK account, headed by Aspect senior consultant Harry Hunt.
