No business is "clean green". Adverse ethical dimensions can be found in all activity, from accountancy to zoology. No organisation is immune from environmental impact. On that basis every PR company and all our clients could face protests.
All major organisations now claim green credentials. Most are genuinely working towards better environmental practices.
People will judge by what firms measurably achieve, not on what their environmental mission statements say. Actions will speak louder than words, although - as all PROs know - the words are important too.
At least Edelman and its clients, including E.ON, are doing something instead of pointless protesting.
