What's it good for?
A football stadium may not be an obvious destination to take a client or journalist for an excellent dining experience. However, when the restaurant bears the name of one of the country's most celebrated chefs, you know you won't be served your typical football ground fare.
Nestled next to Chelsea FC's home ground at Stamford Bridge, Marco is the perfect venue to enjoy fine cuisine and escape the West End crowds. Its location makes it especially convenient to meet journalists from Associated Newspapers.
Marco has an excellent a la carte menu and a special match-day set menu (£55) that will appeal to even the most discerning palate. My favourite is the herring and beetroot salad to start, followed by the braised oxtail and kidney pudding with swede puree.
Who's the boss?
Marco is a collaborative effort between fiery restaurateur Marco Pierre White and Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich.
Marco is a must if any of your party is driving, as it has a free valet parking service. Match days are busy, so book well in advance.
