Borkowski was brought in to handle the consumer launch for Freesat in early May. The agency's remit has now been expanded to include specialist technology media, taking over from incumbent Firefly which had been retained initially on a six-month contract.
The agency will be targeting trade, specialist and online media and is also charged with working with freesat's partners and stakeholders.
'‘This next chapter is about helping consumers to understand what digital and HD TV means for them in real terms,' said Borkowski MD Larry Franks. ‘It's a pretty big balancing act but if we stay true to the brand's values of being ‘open, honest and for everyone' then we'll be on the right track. This means giving the full picture and having the confidence to talk about the alternatives in terms of Freeview, Sky and co.'
