The Migraine Action has hired the agency without a pitch as its first PR support.

Chamberlain will now set about raising awareness of the condition throughout the UK.

The account will be headed by UK MD Amanda Moulson and media director Vanessa Leon.

The duo will report to Migraine Action director Lee Tomkins and PR manager Rachel Markham.
'The challenges we face are related to misunderstanding, under-appreciation or stigmatisation of migraine,' said Moulson. 'We want people to understand that migraine is a serious condition.'

About nine million people in the UK suffer from migraines, with women most affected. Two thirds of migraine sufferers are women.

Chamberlain London launched in January and is part of global healthcare marcoms group InVentiv Communications (PRWeek, 18 January).
