Prince Charles signs up Freud

Freud Communications and Finsbury are handling communications for Prince Charles' latest environmental initiative.

The Prince's Rainforest Project attempts to find practical solutions to slow tropical deforestation and combat climate change.

The PR drive comes in the run-up to the 2009 Copenhagen climate change
conference.

Finsbury will handle the business engagement side of the campaign, attempting to secure financial backing from City firms as well as talking to environmental and business journalists.

Freud will attempt to garner consumer interest. The consumer drive will take place nearer the conference.

The first stage of the campaign was launched last week with a website, viral on YouTube and consumer research.

The Prince's Rainforest Project is already backed by a range of companies including Shell, Rio Tinto Zinc, McDonald's, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
