Diary: Say goodbye to the humble potato

Picture the scene. It is Sunday lunchtime, you are dicing potatoes in the kitchen in preparation to roast them. Then you realise - with horror - that you are using the wrong type of potato.

According to Storm Communications, these kitchen nightmares will soon be over. A breathless press release tells us that the agency is to publicise the 'ultimate uber-potato' to the great British public. Rooster is apparently the UK's only branded potato and tastes good whichever way you cook it.

Storm Communications beat five other agencies to the retained account. The agency will also talk spud to the trade press for its root vegetable producer client Albert Bartlett. It all ties in nicely to the fact that 2008 is the UN's year of potato. Smashing.
