A study released this week by PRWeek has found that in-house vacancies are on the up, PR agencies are continuing to recruit and PROs are not afraid to move jobs.

Data gathered from five PR recruitment specialists shows that, on the whole, the job market has been healthier in the first four months of this year than it was during the same period in 2007.
Only two firms have seen any dip in candidate numbers this year, and three of them saw available roles jump by 80 per cent or more between January and April.
The recruitment market is often cited as the industry's ‘early warning system' for trouble ahead, as reductions in staff numbers or squeezes on recruitment budgets often betray a reduction in overall budgets.
Price Trace Hawes chairman Neville Price said that he had not seen any signs of a slowdown, and confirmed that the recruitment market remained in ‘good shape'.
