The Holocaust Centre has hired Global Tolerance to promote an event that marks the 70-year anniversary of Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass, which triggered the start of the Holocaust.

The agency will handle a more general campaign about the root causes of genocide to garner mainstream media interest for a concert taking place on 28 October at the Barbican.

It will launch an online resource for the centre in a couple of months asking people to share their stories of social exclusion and cultural discrimination.

It will encourage relevant dignitaries and the general public to attend the event. It will also target Jewish media.

This is the first time the centre has brought in an external agency.
