Diary: Let's meet at - Sfizio

Among the hustle and bustle of Theobald's Road in Holborn is a hidden gem of an Italian cafe called Sfizio.

Originally it was a place to drop by for lunch every couple of weeks or so, but as we've got to know the staff and sample the cafe's impressive array of Italian dishes, it has become almost a daily destination.

Sfizio's atmosphere makes it a great place to take clients and journalists who, in between discussing business, genuinely enjoy the feel of the place and the warmth you get with an authentic Italian establishment.

For lovers of Italy's national beer, Peroni, it's on tap and served in probably the nicest looking beer glasses around (apologies to Hoegaarden) and makes it a great spot for a post-work drink.

The food, however, is probably the biggest highlight, particularly the pizzas. My personal favourite is the 'Godfather', but the diverse range always offers something interesting and unique. The pasta dishes don't disappoint either, with the 'pasta of the day' always a good bet. For those after a quick bite, the freshly made foccacias hit the spot, in particular the Parma ham and mozzarella special.

And the range of cakes and sweets, accompanied by super-strength coffee, ensures you always leave on a high note.
