Helsinki-based Mirasys is the market leader in digital video surveillance and CCTV in the Nordics, with a growing presence in the UK and Spain.
AxiCom Cohn & Wolfe have been briefed to make the company 'stand out from the competition' in the UK market. The agency will take advantage of the UK's status as the country with more CCTV cameras than anywhere else in the world.
'The debate about their effectiveness is becoming increasingly heated,' Mirasys CEO Jukka Riivari said of CCTV technology. 'CCTV cameras are of limited use unless you can find and extract the critical images quickly and effectively. That's what we help people to do.' He added that the UK market is 'highly cluttered and somewhat confused'.
WPP-owned Cohn & Wolfe acquired a majority stake in technology specialist AxiCom earlier this year. AxiCom CEO and founder Julian Tanner now reports to C&W's global CEO Donna Imperato.
