Mike Wade will join the charity as director of fundraising and communications on 6 July. He is currently Water Aid's head of central fundraising and has previously held senior roles at Oxfam and Mind. Wade replaces Tobin Aldrich, who has joined WWF UK as director of supporter relationship management.

He will take charge of both the communications and fundraising teams. The communications team is currently seven strong.

Campaigns and media manager Diana Brooks, said the organisation had increased its media coverage in the last year by 22 per cent. This increase, however, has been mainly in the regional media, so the charity wants to focus more on its national coverage going forward.
