Darts seeks more media coverage

The Professional Darts Corporation is planning a PR offensive to raise the game's profile in the national media.

The darts organisation is 'perturbed' about the lack of regular press coverage for the sport, given that it is the most popular indoor UK sporting event.

The association's chief executive Matthew Porter said: 'Some sections of the media are still struggling to give darts decent coverage.'

Marketing agency WSM Sponsorship has been hired until the end of July to publicise a busy summer of darts in the media, including four major televised events.
