Anthony Hatter will lead a team of five in his new role, responsible for internal and external comms.

Hatter was previously global media relations manager at Accenture.

He has also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in EMEA.

He replaces interim comms director Robert Gibb who was in the role for a year, and reports to Tim Harris, group marketing and comms director.

DTZ wants to strengthen its position as one of the top four global advisers in commercial real estate in the international media.

The property adviser worked on the sale of the iconic Gherkin building in London, which was sold last year for £600m.

The company currently has 11,000 staff working under the brand across 140 cities in 45 countries.

- Separately M&N Communications has won an account with London-based Cornhill Construction Group, which has worked on The Savoy, the Park Lane Casino and the United Arabs Emirates Embassy. It has been asked to raise the company's national profile.
