'Our role is a new one,' said Metia MD Steve Ellis. 'We'll be developing PR projects, content and campaigns that are then packaged to support the in-country programs run by their local PR teams and their existing network of agencies.'
He added: 'The pan-European agency co-ordination role is one we have fulfilled for other large clients. We are very familiar with the dynamics that exist between the roles of HQs and subsidiaries. There is also the full range of corporate issues that a multi-national organisation needs to communicate.'
Metia's client roster includes mobile operator Vodafone and software company Capital ID. The agency has offices in London, New York, Seattle and Singapore, with plans to open more bases worldwide.
Its project work has included communicating AOL's acquisition of financial news provider Relegence Corporation.
