The Times' home news editor Oliver Wright is leaving to become news editor of The Independent. Siobhan Kennedy is now politics and business correspondent for The Times.

Pippa Crerar is now City Hall editor at the Evening Standard, covering Boris Johnson's first few months as mayor. Sri Carmichael is taking over sole responsibility for royal coverage following royal correspondent Robert Jobson's departure in June.

Pan Kwan Yuk is now covering the pub and tobacco sectors for the Financial Times. Yuk will work alongside Roger Blitz, moving from the UK investment banks beat.

Women's monthly Marie Claire has hired Karena Callen as associate beauty editor, covering for beauty and style director Susanna Cohen while she is on maternity leave. news and politics deputy editor Jane Perrone has returned from maternity leave and is now The Guardian Weekend gardening editor.

Rosie Birkett has been appointed deputy features editor of hospitality trade title Caterer and Hotelkeeper, covering for Emily Manson while she is on maternity leave. Birkett moves from The Leeds Guide, where she was deputy editor.

Mortgage Solutions features and supplement writer Paul Robertson has joined fellow Incisive Media title FX Week as senior reporter.

Travel Trade Gazette news reporter Charlotte Walsh is now online editor for the title.

More magazine's fashion and beauty assistant Poppy Lara is now beauty assistant.

Bauer's Q Radio is relaunching, with former Xfm DJ Samanthi hosting an weekday evening show. The programme director is Ric Blaxill, former head of programmes at BBC 6Music.

Former TalkSport radio host James Whale is to return with a talk show on Play Radio UK.
