Urban Life has established itself as the most readable property magazine in Manchester city centre, but on 23 April we relaunched with an exciting new appearance and an increased lifestyle focus. Manchester is awash with lifestyle and property magazines, constantly floating in and out of business, but few have the quality and resources of Urban Life.
Who reads the title?
It is largely aimed at young professionals living and working in Manchester, but our accessible style appeals as much to the office junior wanting to see the latest unsigned bands as it does to the professionals who live in the UK's second city. Even property investors keen to keep abreast of the latest movements in Manchester will be interested.
What has changed?
Our new features will cover fashion, shopping, celebrity, travel, motoring, sport and television as well as Manchester life. We'll also be reviewing products and services that we feel are relevant to our readers.
What are you looking for?
Our small team will always welcome feature suggestions, particularly around topical and seasonal ideas. If you can start off something interesting, you shall be rewarded.
What tips can you give PROs?
Amazing imagery will always help. As a free publication, great competition prizes are also important. Nothing is more frustrating than tenuous links, so even if we're doing a product page on toasters, we won't be covering Dave's Bakery in Bolton! We also like to be able to try out products first.
When are your deadlines?
Urban Life goes to print on the Friday before publication, but content is usually finalised by Monday or Tuesday of that week.
