Veteran FT journalist and Lex section editor Tracy Corrigan has joined The Daily Telegraph as assistant editor, contributing weekly columns to both the regular and business sections.

Rachel Sylvester is joining The Times next month as a political columnist. Sylvester moves from The Daily Telegraph, where she was assistant editor (politics).

Jonathan Isaby, editor of The Daily Telegraph's Three Line Whip political column, will be writing a monthly column on politics for men's monthly GQ, starting in the June issue.

The Times' motoring editor Catherine Riley has left for a career as a freelancer.

Evening Standard royal correspondent Robert Jobson is joining News of the World as royal editor in June.

Daily Mail travel and property correspondent Laura Moss is now a writer for the Femail section. Travel and property editor Matt Warren has been promoted to commissioning features editor.

Investors Chronicle companies editor Simon Thompson is on leave while finishing his book. Deputy companies editor John Adams is standing in for him.

Mark Ludmon has taken over as editor of Bar Magazine, the trade title for the bar and club industry. He has been business editor and deputy editor of The Publican.

FT European business correspondent Richard Milne will move to London from Frankfurt in July. He will cover European business for the paper and online.

IPC equestrian title Horse has appointed Beatrice Asprey as editorial assistant.

The Scotsman has promoted David Lee to senior assistant editor from next week. Lee currently edits the daily diary, the Recommends supplement and the professional pages. Erikka Askeland has moved to The Scotsman as business correspondent. She was deputy editor of Scottish Business Insider and chief reporter at regional publication Business 7.

The Daily Telegraph's Ireland correspondent Tom Peterkin has moved to London to work in the news room as a reporter.

Freelance stylist Kat Byrne has joined women's weekly Closer as fashion editor.

Hampstead & Highgate Express acting news editor Ed Thomas is now news editor.

Zoe Horne has been appointed cookery assistant at Good Housekeeping. She was a diet therapist before moving into journalism.

DIGITAL

Tech Digest, part of Shiny Media, has hired Daniel Sung as editorial assistant. Sung was previously a freelancer for Broadcast magazine, among other titles.

Jane Cunningham has been appointed beauty editor at beautyandthedirt.co.uk. She will continue to write for other publications.

BROADCAST

Alan Clements has been appointed director of content at Scottish broadcaster STV from September, responsible for its network and regional TV programme output.

Ali Wheeler has left Invicta FM in Kent on maternity leave. The DJ and presenter also wrote a gossip column for affiliated titles Kent on Sunday and the Saturday Observer.
