Home Office cuts campaign costs

The Home Office used one PR agency during the 2007-08 period, compared with seven in the previous year.

The single campaign, a 'Frank' drugs campaign aimed at stakeholders and vulnerable young people, was carried out by The Forster Company, costing the Home Office £290,584.

By comparison, 2006-07 external activities cost £856,411, and included a £258,491 campaign by The Red Consultancy to promote community sentencing.
