The group has been in talks with agencies this week, inviting credentials as it reviews its current PR needs.
Baxters said there was no brief in the marketplace, but confirmed its intention to expand its PR support and that it was talking to agencies.
The food group currently uses Scottish agency 3x1. It has worked with the agency for the past 16 months on corporate, trade and consumer PR. It is unclear whether a new brief would affect the agency's account.
Baxters recently revealed profits of £6.7m and said it might buy another foreign company following its recent takeover of CanGro Soups in Canada.
