HSD owner Gyro International has launched Gyro PR months after it made its first move into the PR industry with the acquisition of healthcare shop HSD (PRWeek, 11 January).
The new agency will be headed up by HSD founder and MD Lesley Scott. It will specialise in B2B and B2C activity for sectors including retail, food and drink, finance and travel.
Scott will report to Gyro CEO Gary Brine and will continue heading up HSD alongside the new offering.
The agency is working on clients referred through Gyro's marketing and advertising divisions. Former Porter Novelli European creative director Pauline Kent has been made a director.
Meanwhile Unity Marketing Group, owner of Unity PR, has set up corporate comms agency, Chalk.
Former FD senior associate Adam Barber is MD of the five-strong agency. Chalk has taken on accounts with Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited and Pension Capital Strategies. Both clients have worked with Unity previously.
