Klarius wants to be seen to be leading the way in lobbying for tighter emissions regulations, particularly at a time when the motoring industry in coming under increasing pressure to take its environmental responsibilities seriously. It believes there is a lack of regulation on emissions in the UK in relation to other European countries.
MC2 will initially work on an awareness-building campaign among car users through the motoring pages in regional and national papers, and the after-market sector through trade titles. The agency will also build its online presence and maximise impact at exhibitions and events.
The second wave of the campaign will be lobbying the government on tightening emissions regulation.
The retained account is initially worth £50,000. Account director Anna Simpkins will head up the account.
