Trimedia hired for anti-smoking bid

Campaign group Smoke Free North West has brought in Trimedia to promote its efforts to protect children and young people from cigarette smoke.

The agency will oversee a ten-week campaign that will be run out of Trimedia's Manchester office.

The agency will work with partners from the Department of Health, NHS organisations and other agencies involved in tobacco control and smoking reduction.

The account, which was won after a competitive proposal submission, will focus on protecting children from secondary smoke and stopping them starting smoking.

The three-strong team, led by Trimedia associate director Sarah Dean Forrester, will use regional media relations focusing on free sheets, community engagement, ambient media and advertising.
