Hotel Maiyango

A recent addition to the city of Leicester, Hotel Maiyango is its only boutique hotel. With an excellent bar and restaurant, plus 14 luxury rooms, it is conveniently located in the heart of the shopping and clubbing area, and is fast gaining a reputation for individuality and excellence.

Maiyango has an exotic atmosphere and is full of colour and texture - curtains, drapes and cushions give an air of Arabian Nights - as well as being incredibly comfortable. Excellent for business lunches or an intimate tete-a-tete, it has a range of tables from enclosed booths to more formal tables. On the third floor is the Glass Bar - a private members' bar that can be used for larger gatherings.

We use Maiyango to entertain the Leicester media and our client, the new £350m Highcross Leicester retail destination being developed by Hammerson, and have found it gives the right ambience for any occasion.

The menu consists of British and European classics with a twist of Asian fusion - with everything from pigeon and pheasant to panir masala and chargrilled tuna and noodles. Many of the ingredients are sourced locally, such as the fabulous Long Clawson Stilton. A diverse wine list ensures there's something to please everyone.
