Technology: Travel insurance site hires agency

Financial services agency David Andrews Media has won a brief to handle PR for travel insurance website

David Andrews beat three other agencies, including two travel specialists, in a competitive pitch.

The website offers protection against excess charges from car rental companies in the event of damage or theft, with special policies for older travellers aged 75-plus, seen as a burgeoning market.

The agency has been briefed to promote the site throughout national media, broadsheets and online publications, paying special attention to travel and personal finance blogs and forums.

David Andrews will also target the personal finance, home news, property, consumer affairs and travel sections of newspapers and magazines, as well as reaching out to broadcast media.
