City & Corporate: CitySavvy poaches journalist

CitySavvy has brought in the former associate editor of IR Magazine in an IR consultant role.

Caroline Thomas will focus on CitySavvy's multinational clients in the areas of annual and CSR reports.

Thomas worked at IR Magazine from 2002 to 2007, covering disclosure, regulation and comms best practices.

Later, she interviewed hundreds of Europe's top business leaders as project manager for Discovery Reports, published in partnership with the International Herald Tribune and the South China Morning Post.

Thomas has also worked as a UN correspondent, reporting on global socio-economic and development issues. 'Corporate reporting, CSR and investor comms have never been more important,' she said.

CitySavvy director Matt Gower said Thomas would bring 'knowledge about regulatory disclosure and CSR best practice and a unique insight into European corporate comms practices'.

Separately, the agency has also brought in Lara Jordan as an account director in its Amsterdam office.

Jordan joined from ABN Amro, where she was a board-level speech writer.

Before moving to the Netherlands, Jordan worked for Reuters in London. She reports to CitySavvy MD Jana Sanchez.

Late last year, CitySavvy brought in corporate PR consultant Ruth Reynolds as a senior consultant in its London office.
