The win follows the appointment of Ketchum's healthcare division last week to handle the global PR support for the pharma firm's women's products (PRWeek, 31 March).
Cohn & Wolfe's brief will focus on BSP's long-acting reversible contraceptive Mirena and combined oral contraceptive Yasmin. It will target healthcare professionals in the UK and work will include future pipeline products as part of the brief.
Cohn & Wolfe director Jo Spadaccino will head up the account.
Bayer Schering Pharma said that there was a high demand for 'effective contraceptive services that combine sound advice with access to a range of contraceptive choices'.
