SHAPE LAUNCHED THIS WEEK. TELL US ABOUT THE TITLE. Shape is the new monthly glossy for women who want a read that is as intelligent, insightful and inspiring as it is glossy, indulgent and lovely.

Our aim is to offer readers something that leaves them feeling positive about life, not patronized, and to deliver a monthly magazine that feels genuinely fresh and new.

WHAT DOES IT COVER?

We cover a broad range of women's interests - you will find everything from psychology to PE - but always in a compulsive, stylish and, we hope, enjoyable way. The Shape Your Life message pertains to the self-empowerment themes that are increasingly prevalent in women's magazines and every feature in Shape is designed to make readers feel inspired and that anything is possible.

WHO ARE YOU TARGETING?

We are targeting a 'mature' readership of women aged between 27 and 45, with a median age of 34. The reader is intelligent, successful, confident, proactive, positive and discerning while the lifestyle demographic is broad as these qualities pertain to an attitude as much as an AB profile.

WHAT WILL YOU COVER?

Anything new, stylish and useful that will make a genuine difference to the readers' lives and leave them feeling excited. We want to know about new trends from food to skincare to lifestyle. We look for new products, store openings, indulgent beauty products, news and new research. Lifestyle features can be anything from the healing power of flowers to new social trends to travel. Health/psychology stories have that all-important 'me-factor'. We are also looking for inspiring women to feature regularly in our sections 'What Makes my Marriage', 'My Secret Space' and 'Women who Shape our World'. Contact editorial assistant Clare Geraghty with any ideas.
