Ex-Blunkett aide joins think-tank

A former adviser to two Labour cabinet ministers, who recently worked for the Ledbury Group, is to take a senior role at the New Local Government Network.

Anna Turley has been made deputy director of the independent think-tank.

Turley started working for the Ledbury Group, the agency recently set up by Malcolm Gooderham and Nick Bent, in November 2007.

She was previously a special adviser to Hilary Armstrong at the Cabinet Office, and before that was an adviser to David Blunkett during his time as work and pensions secretary.
