UK agencies are 'awash with cash' and should use it to 'go on the offensive and buy up the opposition', says Plimsoll Publishing's annual acquisitions report. It looks at the fortunes of nearly 1,000 PR companies and lists 263 it considers good 'strategic' takeover targets.
'There has never been a better time for these dynamic companies to splash the cash,' said senior acquisition analyst David Pattison.
Separately, the annual International Communications Consultancy Organisation World Report shows consumer products and services is the area in which UK agencies expect the most growth. Healthcare, surprisingly, comes last.
