Teenage Cancer Trust expands

The Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) has strengthened its comms team as it kicks off a national expansion programme.

Stephanie Westacott has joined as national PR manager from Breast Cancer Care, where she was press officer. Westacott will be in charge of managing TCT's health campaigns including its work around sun safety, and managing corporate partnerships.

In addition, Emily Wheldon is now regional PR manager. She was previously an account manager at the Red Consultancy.

Wheldon will be responsible for regional fundraising as well as lobbying local MPs. She will raise awareness of the charity's education team, which teaches young people about cancer prevention and healthy living.

Both Westacott and Wheldon report to director of comms Lucy Jackson.

TCT is opening five new specialist teenager units in NHS hospitals this year and building a further two.
