DIGITAL A social networking site for students is on the hunt for agency support. ClubGel.co.uk is holding a national street dance competition with £100,000 prize money. It wants an agency to raise national awareness of the site, with fees of up to £10,000.

POLITICS The Labour party has a new head of press and broadcasting. Press officer Roger Baker has been promoted up to the role, replacing Jo Murray who moved to Fishburn Hedges earlier this year.

CONSUMER Splendid Communications has been appointed by The Big Yellow Self Storage Company. Splendid will handle media activity around the launch of the firm's flagship centre in Fulham, London.

AGENCY Consumer and corporate agency Trimedia has signed an affiliate partnership with ethnic specialist Rich Visions. They will work together on new and existing client projects targeted at ethnic community groups.

CONSUMER The British International Motor Show has brought in Markettiers4dc after a three-way competitive pitch. The show returns to ExCeL London this year and is hoping to attract over half a million people.
