Hamster: 'unique skills set'

Hamster joins as Moscow director of corporate and crisis comms from fellow WPP firm Hill & Knowlton International, Belgium.

From 2004 to 2007 she was head of the Corporate Communications Practice Group for the international agency.

'Jeanette brings a unique skills set to our 50-person Moscow professional team,' said PBN chairman & CEO Peter Necarsulmer.

'She combines high-level advisory and management experience in communications with an insider's knowledge of EU government relations and public affairs.'

PBN has encountered Hamster and Hill & Knowlton working on shared WPP clients, including Gazprom and Nord Stream.

Hamster, 35, will be responsible for client strategy development and liaison for a number of PBN's large corporate clients, including Citibank, Enel, Ferrero, Merrill Lynch and Motorola.

PBN became part of WPP in 2007 when the group acquired a 49.9 per cent stake in the agency. The move was seen as an attempt by WPP to strengthen its presence in eastern Europe.

Last year PBN recruited emerging markets expert Stuart Leasor to help strengthen its London office. Leasor joined as senior vice-president and managing director (PRWeek, 1 June, 2007).
