John Dickie is set to join at London First next week in the newly created role of director of strategy and policy.

A former deputy leader of Camden Council, Dickie joined the BBC in 2003 as head of political and parliamentary affairs.

Before joining the BBC, he spent two years as director of regulatory affairs at the European Competitive Telecommunications Association. He is also a former GPC lobbyist.

London First chief executive Jo Valentine said: 'John's keen ability to identify and drive forward distinctive policy positions will further strengthen London First as we increase our campaigning for London business, especially on critical issues such as airports and East End regeneration.'
