Uxbridge-based drug firm Otsuka Pharmaceutical Europe has hired Huntsworth to the account without a pitch.

The agency has been brought on board to handle PR support for the drug's launch into the heart failure market across Europe.

The account will be handled from Huntsworth's Marlow office by medical comms associate divisional director Annabelle Sandeman.

The agency is also tasked with launching pharma firm Daiichi Sankyo's new hypertension drug (PRWeek, 29 Feb 08). Huntsworth was also hired by drug company Novartis for its vaccines portfolio following a competitive pitch.
