DIARY: CIPR base could be home for rich

Talking of the CIPR, Diary hears it could be moving home within the next 18 months. The current site, within London's St James's Square, is the subject of a planning application to turn it into a 'single dwellinghouse'.

The CIPR told Diary: 'The lease expires in mid-2009. We would like to acquire a new lease. However, we have recently heard that the building may be converted for residential purposes.'

The CIPR's current president, Elisabeth Lewis-Jones, lives in Birmingham. Perhaps this is her chance to move the headquarters nearer home?
