Weber Shandwick should not be the only agency waving the flag; and the diversity needs to be at all levels. When I was appointed to the board of Hill & Knowlton in 2004, I was the first black person to be on it. I'm fairly confident that the picture remains as homogenous almost everywhere.
We must work together, and try harder, to make it more diverse - and that also includes the industry bodies. Either the industry is oblivious to the lack of diversity, or it is ignoring it.
