MS&L wins drugs firm account

Pharma giant Novartis has handed Manning Selvage & Lee a six-figure account to handle PR for its entire portfolio of over-the-counter products.

MS&L fought off six agencies in a competitive pitch. The agency replaces five-year incumbent Toniq Marketing and Communications, which declined to re-pitch for the business.

MS&L will handle activity for the company's consumer products, which include its Savlon antiseptic brand, children's cough and cold product Tixylix and athlete's foot treatment Lamisil.

The account is the first big win for the agency's newly formed consumer health business. The new division was set up at the beginning of this year.

The account, which mainly consists of media relations activity, will be headed up by MS&L's director of consumer health Sarah Winterbottom.bottom.
