To launch Dame Jacqueline Wilson's new novel, the agency used the results of a survey to suggest that parents are alarmingly lenient towards their children, resulting in them growing up too fast - which is the theme of the book.

The morning the story broke, the results were picked up by The Today Programme, Radio 5 Breakfast and BBC Breakfast News, as well as seven national newspapers.
