Agency boss in film studio switch

The Policy Partnership is losing its managing partner Andrew Smith to film and TV studio operator Pinewood Shepperton.

Smith will join the company in June as group corporate affairs director. A former Tory parliamentary candidate, Smith leaves the agency after 11 years. Agency partner Claire Davidson said: 'As a passionate film follower, he now has the chance to focus on the job of his dreams.'

Major British film studio Pinewood Studios merged with Shepperton Studios in 2001. The studios have acted as the base for the James Bond films and the Carry On films, both of which also used the studio's main buildings to represent various locations.
