Plane protestors shocked by press

Campaign group Plane Stupid has said it was 'taken aback' by the level of positive coverage last week's stunt received in the media.

Richard George was one of five people who scaled the Houses of Parliament last week in protest at the Government's consultation on the third runway at Heathrow airport.

Speaking to PRWeek, George said the stunt had led to many media outlets exploring the issue in more depth than normal.

He said he was surprised that right-of-centre papers such as The Times and The Daily Telegraph 'started exploring airport expansion in a much more open way than before'.
