Cartwright: 'strong signal'

Rod Cartwright makes the call in an article for PRWeek, due to appear in this week's magazine.

His comments come as the Commons public administration select committee prepares to hear from three agencies that refuse to join the Association of Professional Political Consultants (APPC).

This Thursday, the committee will grill lobbyists from Bell Pottinger Public Affairs, Luther Pendragon and DLA Piper.

Cartwright, MD of public affairs at Ketchum and PRCA public affairs committee chair, says in his article: 'The committee has a real opportunity to send a strong signal to all those who still choose to sit outside a recognised code.'
