DIARY: Hit or Miss... Greenpeace 1, Heathrow 0

Greenpeace's stunt at Heathrow received blanket coverage this week as airport security was called into question.

Members of the NGO scaled a BA plane and unfurled a banner reading, 'Climate emergency. No 3rd runway'. The move came two days before the end of the consultation on the proposed expansion.

Greenpeace did well to get its message across, despite the focus on the breach in security. The Times said the incident was 'a huge embarrassment to Heathrow'. Plane Stupid followed suit with a similar stunt two days later, scaling the Houses of Parliament.
