Dotcom firm set for UK comeback

One of the dotcom era's surviving e-commerce specialists has hired an agency as it plans a UK comeback.

US outfit BroadVision has brought in Bell Pottinger tech subsidiary Harvard PR for a B2B brief, focusing on a target audience of chief executives and company directors.

Agency MD Chris Cartwright and his team will also target the national, business, marketing and digital media, positioning BroadVision as a 'thought leader' in leveraging e-commerce with web 2.0 technologies.

BroadVision was founded in 1993 and floated in 1996, before the dotcom bust consumed many of its rivals in e-business. The company offers a web platform, applications and online tools for clients including Citibank, Vodafone and Xerox.
