The latest update on all the new launches, hires and developments in the world of print, broadcast and digital media.

Allister Heath, editor of weekly magazine The Business, has been appointed editor of City AM. Heath will move to the business freesheet in March.

The Financial Times' media editor Andrew Edgecliffe-Johnson is relocating to the paper's New York office. He will continue to cover the media industry. Tim Bradshaw is moving from the Investors Chronicle to the FT in April, as digital media correspondent.

The Daily Telegraph has promoted Duncan Gardham from reporter to security correspondent, and Richard Edwards from news reporter to crime correspondent.

The Independent's telecoms and technology reporter Nic Fildes has left to go travelling. Market reporter Nick Clark is now City reporter at The Independent and Nikhil Kumar has replaced Clark as market reporter. Business reporter Simon Evans has been promoted to deputy business editor.

The Daily Mail has hired London Lite features editor Anne Shooter as commissioning editor for its Femail section. Tracey Blake has replaced her on the freesheet.

IPC's Country Life has promoted features and travel editor Rupert Uloth to the role of deputy editor. Uloth has been at Country Life since 1994.

The News of the World Sunday magazine has relaunched as a women's celebrity and fashion title, Fabulous. The editor is Mandy Appleyard.

David Bain has joined the Dow Jones-owned Financial News as its new editorial director for wealth coverage. Bain moves to his new position from, which he founded in March 2007.

Musician Chris Bird has been appointed music editor of Future Publishing's Total Guitar magazine. Bird will oversee the guitar title's tuition pages and manage its website.

The FT specialist publishing arm Financial Times Business has promoted Padraig Floyd to editor in chief of the Pensions & Investment group of titles. He will oversee Pensions Week, Pensions Gym and Pensions News, Pensions Management and High Net Worth.

Pet magazine Dogs Monthly will be published by ABM Publishing Ltd from the April issue. Caroline Davis will replace Meriel France as editor.

Maritime industry title Lloyd's List has promoted Richard Meade from deputy news editor to news editor. He replaces Roger Hailey who is now ports and logistics editor.

BBC World Service Radio reporter and presenter Alex Ritson will become senior editorial adviser to the heads of the BBC World Service and the BBC's Global News Division, Nigel Chapman and Richard Sambrook respectively.

Gethin Jones will join BBC News 24 presenter James Dagwell to present E24, a new weekly entertainment show to be launched this weekend. E24 will take a look at all the latest films, TV, music, gigs and shows, and interview celebrities.

The Liverpool Daily Post's business team will be presenting a radio programme, LDP Business Week, on new station City Talk 105.9. The show will air at 11am every Sunday.

The Birmingham Mail has launched Online editors are Anna Jeys for news and features and Mark Langford for sport.
