City & Corporate: GreenTarget poaches Watt

City agency GreenTarget has brought in a top PRO from rival agency Weber Shandwick Financial.

Jeff Watt joins as strategic comms director. He will work with GreenTarget MD Nick Glanvill and former colleague Melissa Rowling, who is the agency's MD of PR. Watt worked with Rowling at Weber when the agency was called Weber Shandwick Square Mile.

Before Weber Shandwick Financial, Watt was a director at Bell Pottinger Corporate and Financial.

'Jeff has spent more than ten years advising major financial brands. Clients will value the depth of sector expertise that he brings and his ability to implement complex integrated comms programmes,' said Glanvill.

GreenTarget now has 20 staff, having formed 19 months ago (PRWeek, 21 September 2006).

GreenTarget founder Tim Jackaman founded the Square Mile agency at which both Rowling and Watt worked. After acquisition it became Weber Shandwick Square Mile before changing its name to Weber Shandwick Financial last year (PRWeek, 26 January 2007).
